FAQs

A vehicle wrap is a large, vinyl decal that allows you to change the exterior of your vehicle in a short amount of time. A vehicle wrap consists of a custom design, which is developed by our professional designers, then printed on premium vinyl, laminated, and finally installed or “wrapped” on a vehicle. The wrap is applied directly to the vehicle. The application is so flawless that it is often mistaken for a custom paint job.

Easy, as certified wrap installers we belong to a large nationwide network of other certified installers. We will be glad to set up your installation and find the best fit for you to get your wrap installed
Designs vary by complexity but typically take anywhere from 5-10 days.. Installation typically takes 1-3 days per vehicle which varies by vehicle. Some are very easy, some are very difficult, which require more time.
No wax! We highly recommend that vehicles are washed in a car wash a few hours before they’re brought into our facility for graphics installation. The vehicle should be washed preferably at a place that can use brushes or pressure-washing to remove road grime from the low-lying parts under the wheel well, inside the door panels etc. where dirt usually accumulates. Wax, polish, grease, or grime interferes with the graphics adhesive and therefore must be cleaned-if necessary-using industrial cleaners and/or non-silicone based detergents (any cleaning chemical must be tested on the vehicle in an inconspicuous area to make sure it will not mar the paint surface).

Once the vehicle is brought into our facility we clean it with isopropyl alcohol and other chemicals to remove any remaining oily residue, dirt, and contaminants. Special attention is placed on the vehicle’s cracks and crevices, where contaminants generally accumulate. We then perform a vehicle inspection and take note of places that have any kind of surface damage like paint scratches, dents etc. This inspection helps as a guideline to ensure that our clients know about any surface problems on the vehicle.

Absolutely, the material is manufactured to be removed. The wrap is actually applied to the vehicle using pressure-sensitive adhesives. Each vinyl comes with a 4 year easy take off period which means when you remove it 90% of the adhesive comes off with it. Although the wrap will not come off by itself, it can be easily removed. The removal process is very short and any remaining adhesive residue is easily removed with all natural adhesive removers. The material we use has an “easy take off period” of 4 years.

No. The wrap will not damage your OEM paint. The material used actually protects your paint job from minor scratches and ultraviolet light. It also protects the paint from the light pitting that can occur from highway impact with sand, grit, and insects. So if you can imagine covering your vehicle in a whole new skin, that’s a wrap! However, Wraps N Signs by Trim It cannot be held responsible for any paint damage that could potentially occur.

Wraps could potentially last indefinitely. Normally a wrap can stay on between 5 to 6 years depending on how well you treat it. Wraps n Signs wraps have a warranty that is good for 3 years by the manufacturers (Avery, 3M ™, or Oracal (r) against material degradation, color loss, and adhesion.
Definitely! Vehicle wraps are made from high tensile strength vinyl with either a semi-gloss or a gloss laminate. It requires no waxing to maintain its shine and luster. Simply wash with soap and water. No polishing, waxing, or buffing needed! It is best to hand-wash your wrapped vehicle. In general, avoid power washing and do not use an ice-scraper. Brushing windows and the use of a rear defroster will cause no damage to your window wrap. Fine scratches can be simply removed by heating up the vinyl with a heat gun, although we recommend having this done by our certified wrap installers.

Standard vehicles including cars, trucks, minivans and SUVs are virtually seamless. The exception applies to large trailers, vans, etc. that require multiple panels, making it impossible to eliminate seams. Special care is taken by our certified installers to hide as many of the seams as possible. Wraps N Signs by Trim It hates to see seams, so we take every necessary measure to reduce as many as possible.
Virtually anything! We can wrap vehicles, boats, box trucks, trailers, vans, snowmobiles, golf carts, and any other surface imaginable. We’ve wrapped fridges, mailboxes, laptops, floors, toilet seats and windows.
Yes! If you happen to move and need to change your phone number, website address, or any other information on the wrap, a portion of the wrap can be reprinted with the new information and applied over the top of your vehicle wrap. Depending on the design of the wrap we can often isolate the phone number and print a new one and install it right over the old ones.
Vehicle Advertising vs. Traditional: When you begin to compare the numbers, vehicle advertising is a no-brainer. According to a study by Arbitron, Inc., 96% of Americans travel in a vehicle each week as either a driver or a passenger. If you compare this to other forms of advertising, only 66% of Americans read a daily newspaper. With mobile advertising, exposure is not limited to consumers of different socioeconomic spectrums. Outdoor media reaches consumers not exposed or lightly exposed to newspapers, local television, etc. According to the Traffic Audit Bureau, 91% of all people notice the words and pictures on vehicles. Besides, you can place this wrapped vehicle right under a billboard and not spend even a fraction of the cost that guy’s spending. Our goal is to get them to look at yours before anything else. If you’re parked under that billboard they wont even see them. We give all of our designs that “wow” factor”.

Companies spend thousands of dollars each year in advertising expenses. The average full page display ad in the Yellow Pages can cost up to $15,000 a year. In the phone book, all competitors are sharing the same space therefore brand recognition is going to be the determining factor in consumers’ selection. Not only that, but you have to hope that someone will pick up that same directory you are located in and then select you from the list.

Cost Effective:
Fleet and Vehicle graphics are a highly cost-effective way to promote your business around town and across the country where your vehicles/delivery trucks are on route. Once we apply the graphics to your vehicles, there is no monthly expense. You keep running your ads rent-free month after month. Compare that with radio, TV, print or billboard advertisement where you have to pay every time you run an Ad. Consider getting customized vehicle graphics from Wraps n Signs by Trim It that can help you build awareness at a fraction of your current advertising expenditures in other media.

High Visibility: The graphics on your trucks, buses and vans are in constant motion and reach millions of people every day. Once we have created graphics on your vehicle they are visible 24/7 everywhere your vehicle goes including parking lots, malls, restaurants, shopping centers, schools, etc. Just think of it, placing a billboard with your ad anywhere you want to advertise. Just park it!

In The End: Comparing the costs and benefits of the use of vehicle advertising to traditional advertising, the choice is clear. By investing in vehicle wraps or fleet graphics from Wraps n Signs by Trim It, you are taking the next step in creating brand recognition and high visibility for your company.
